MAXIMO - Tip of the week

View encrypted MAXIMO passwords in SQLBase. This is probably a familiar situation to many: A second or third shift user has a problem that you would like to recreate logged in as that user. If he doesn't supply the password or you happen to know it, you might end up waiting a day or two until he responds to a request for his password and then it is sent via email and available for prying eyes to see. Time consuming and not very secure. To unencrypt user passwords, use: select name, resourceauth, dbAauth, @decrypt ("PASSWORD") from sysuserauth; NOTE1: You must connect as sysadm or this table isn't visible. NOTE2: @DECRYPT only works on SQLBase.
